We are happy to offer our adorable Lil’ Cub teddy bears for a discounted rate of $12/bear to help our Guests support charitable causes and add a little more heart to life. [Q] Does my group qualify for the discounted $12 Lil’ Cub rate for our event?
[A] Any group who would like to make furry friends for a 501(c)(3) non-profit or registered charity qualifies for the discounted rate on our Lil’ Cubs. A valid tax ID or registered charity number is required at party booking. We welcome corporate team building events, scout troops, school service projects, and individuals looking to make a difference in their community.
[Q] We’re ready to add a little more ♥️ to life and book our Service Project Party! How do we schedule?
[A] To schedule your Service Project Party please click here. On the Party Details Page, choose Service Project Party as your Occasion and fill in the remaining fields including Recipient Tax ID. To best prepare for your group, please provide the number of Guests in your party and how many bears you would like to make. You can also book your party by calling our Party Planners toll-free at 1-877-789-BEAR (2327)
[Q] Is it possible to build a different furry friend for a discount if I plan to donate it?
[A] This discount is intended to allow groups to help as many children as possible by maximizing funds. We are unable to discount furry friends outside our Lil’ Cub family.
[Q] I’d like to add clothing or accessories to my Lil’ Cub before donating. Can I receive a discount on clothing, sounds, scents, or other accessories?
[A] Party Guests are welcome to purchase clothing and accessories but we are not able to extend a discount on these items.
[Q] Our group would like to add custom tees or outfits to our donated Lil’ Cubs. Is that possible?
[A] YES! Our Corporate Sales team will be happy to work with your group to make custom items. For more information, please contact Corporate Sales. Please allow 8 weeks for production and delivery for custom products.
[Q] Our in-store Service Project party is complete! Now what do we do?
[A] Your group will take the new furry friends to deliver to the recipient charity. Build-A-Bear is unable to ship or store your furry friends once your party is complete.
[Q] Can Build-A-Bear ship my furry friends to a charity of their choice?
[A] Build-A-Bear is unable to select or suggest recipient organizations. We encourage your group to find a charity or cause that is important to you! Build-A-Bear is unable to ship your furry friends to the recipient charity.
[Q] We’d like to build furry friends to give to others, but we do not have the tax ID of the recipient charity. Can we still receive the discounted rate?
[A] To book our Service Project Party and receive the discounted $12 Lil’ Cubs, the tax ID of the recipient charity is required.
[Q] I’d like to have my birthday party at Build-A-Bear where we build one friend for ourselves and one to donate to a charity. Is this possible?
[A] Yes! It is possible to have a birthday party with a charitable add-on. When booking, choose the party package that fits best for your group, then contact our Guest Services team to add the Service Project Party Lil’ Cubs to your party. Our regular party package pricing will apply to the furry friends that the Guests keep. The discounted rate is only available for the furry friends that will be donated.
[Q] How many Lil’ Cubs can I purchase at the discounted $12 rate?
[A] Guests must purchase a minimum of 5 Lil’ Cubs. The maximum is 100. For charitable purchases greater than 100, please contact our Corporate Sales Team.
[Q] How is the Service Project Party different from the other parties that Build-A-Bear offers?
[A] While our birthday parties focus on celebrating the Birthday Guest’s special day with games, activities and party hats, the focus on our service party is having fun making furry friends for others. The Service Project Party does not include birthday hats or games. However, a Party Leader will be available to help Guests build their Lil’ Cubs.
[Q] A $50.00 non-refundable e-gift card deposit is required with other Build-A-Bear parties. Is it required with the Service Project Party?
[A] Yes, the gift card is a $50 non-refundable e-gift card required as a deposit for your group’s Service Project Party.
