Our bears have offered support through critical illness, time in foster care, in the wake of a disaster, and through countless other challenges.

In-kind donation requests are granted to organisations that most closely align with our mission. Build-A-Bear Foundation only provides bear donations to tax-exempt organisations that directly serve children in need, prioritising programmes that promote children's literacy, health, wellness, safety, and equity.
The window to request in-kind donations will open on 04 June at 9:00am. All requests will be reviewed and responded to within 90 days.

For National Teddy Bear Day 2023, Build-A-Bear Guests helped us donate 50,000 furry friends thanks to our “Buy a Bear, Give a Bear” campaign. These bears supported kids and classrooms in need across the United States. Build-A-Bear associates even visited local sites to deliver bears themselves.
As our UK literacy partner, BookTrust is helping us get every child reading, regularly and by choice, with an enhanced focus on children with disadvantaged backgrounds. Build-A-Bear Foundation is a core funder of the BookStart Early Years programme serving readers 0-6 years old – we’ve helped share tens of thousands of book packs with families across the UK. We also provide furry friend reading buddies to promote a love of reading in early life.
